At billeye.ai we place great importance on making our digital service accessible to people with disabilities, out of a belief in equal opportunity, inclusion and an equitable user experience for the general public. This statement reflects the actual accessibility status of the application and of the billeye.ai website as of the date stated above, including what has not yet been fully made accessible in either of them, and is updated as the application and website change.
1. Level of Accessibility
The billeye.ai application and website aim to comply with the international WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines and with the requirements of Israeli Standard IS 5568 for the accessibility of internet content. Based on the checks performed so far, the level of compliance with both is Partially Compliant: major parts have been made accessible and verified, while additional parts are still in the process of being made accessible (see details in section 3). The application and website are designed for use in the major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and on mobile devices.
2. Accessibility Measures Actually Implemented
Based on the checks and fixes performed on the application and website, the following are currently implemented:
Full keyboard navigation - the application is accessible for navigation without a mouse, using the Tab key to move between components and Enter/Escape to activate and close them.
Compatibility with assistive technologies (screen readers) - selection components, menus and buttons (for example checkboxes, action menus, sortable table columns) correctly report their state (checked/unchecked, open/closed, enabled/disabled) to screen-reading software such as NVDA, VoiceOver and JAWS, in accordance with standard ARIA practices.
A floating accessibility menu (an icon in the corner of the screen, available on every page), which lets you activate, according to your own preference: increasing or decreasing text size, high contrast mode, underlining links, highlighting links with a prominent background color, increasing spacing between letters, words and lines, a font suited for readers with dyslexia, reading text aloud on click (see the important clarification below), reducing animations and motion in the interface, enlarging the mouse cursor, a reading mask, a reading guide, and resetting all accessibility settings with a single click, at any time.
Alternative text (Alt Text) for meaningful images in the application and website, such as the logo and branding icons.
A color palette chosen with the aim of high contrast between text and background, alongside an additional "high contrast" mode that can be activated from the accessibility menu for users who need it.
Hierarchical heading structure (H1/H2) - headings in the application and website are organized in a semantic structure (one main heading per screen or page, and sub-headings for each section), which helps screen-reader users navigate quickly.
Important clarification regarding reading text aloud: the "read text aloud" feature available from the accessibility menu is a text-to-speech tool that runs directly in the browser when text on the page is clicked. This is an additional convenience feature, and is not a substitute for dedicated screen-reading software and does not depend on installing one; it can be used without any external software. At the same time, the application also supports regular use with external screen-reading software (such as NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS) that you install and run independently on your own computer or phone, through the standard accessibility (ARIA) practices implemented in the application's components.
3. Reservations and Components Not Yet Fully Made Accessible
We continue our ongoing efforts to improve and make the application and website accessible. Known reservations as of the date this statement was last updated:
Tab order in the application's top navigation bar: moving forward with Tab from the last button in the navigation bar does not return directly to the page's main content, but moves to the accessibility menu button and then to the browser's own toolbar; only on the next Tab cycle does it return to the content. This is a known and documented limitation, pending future attention, and does not block use of the application (all content and actions are accessible by keyboard, just not in the precisely optimal order at this point). This limitation is specific to the application.
Formal color contrast testing: a formal, screen-by-screen (in the application) and page-by-page (on the website) check of the exact contrast ratios required by the standard (4.5:1 for normal text) has not been performed. The design palette was chosen with the aim of high contrast, and alongside that there is also an additional "high contrast" mode available in the accessibility menu on both platforms.
If you encounter a browsing difficulty or another accessibility issue, even one not detailed above, we would be glad for you to let us know using the details in the next section.
